Eporex cellulite treatment

This treatment was developed by a Turkish doctor following her original Mesotherapy that involved injecting hundreds of needles into the affected areas to breakdown the fat cells into more manageable fatty acids that the body can then use for energy. Fortunately with Eporex there's not a needle in sight, which is just as well or I'd be out of there faster than you could say 'bend over please'.

This treatment works using electric currents and gel containing a solution (different solutions are used dependent on the treatment) that repel against each other forcing the solution deep into the fat or cellulite cells while the gel remains on the surface. I'm told it feels like ultrasound but as I've never had one, it was a new experience for me.

After positioning myself on the treatment bed I had to put my hand onto a plastic pad which was covered in gel. Lynn, the qualified nurse, explained that this was to complete the circuit and that I should expect to feel some tingling in the hand as the level of current was increased.

Next the gel was put onto the areas to be treated and Lynn used a metal handpiece to run over the areas, charging the gel. The current level is slowly increased to a level when you can feel it in your hand but still be comfortable. I found it to be a sensation not unlike pins and needles which pulses in the hand, not painful but not pleasant either.

After 20 minutes the treatment is complete and it's time to clean up. This was the worst part of the treatment for me. The gel is extremely messy and although copious amounts of tissues and flannels are on hand I couldn't wait to get home for a shower - definitely not one to go for before work or a big night out.

I was impressed with the results. After just one treatment my legs felt smoother and firmer.

A slight downside was the headache I suffered the following day, although not enough to put me off further treatments.
